Beijing Yangzhou grand canal

Rating: 4/5

When we first reached Yangzhou Grand Canal, I could see a large group of people of different ages doing some exercise together and this therefore shows the slow-paced and laid back life that Yangzhou people have. People there are willing to spend time on doing such exercises together and this is very hard to see in Singapore since we tenagers or adults often come up with excuses and reasons about how busy we are. Also, we had a boat ride there and when I first entered the boat, my first impression was that it was not as comfortable as the cruise ride we had at Shanghai HuangPu Jiang. A few reasons were that the ship itself was much smaller and the temperature at Yangzhou is also not as cooling as Shanghai. However, the good thing about the boat ride we had at the Yangzhou Grand Canal is that there were much lesser people on each ship and there was also a person who would stand at the first floor to explain and tell us more about the things we could see there. As for the Yangzhou Grand Canal place itself, we could barely see any tall skyscrapers. I then had learnt that the buildings there could not be more than 4 storeys to show as a sign of respect to the Chinese emperors last time. In conclusion, the boat ride at the Yangzhou Grand Canal was still generally quite enriching but it is not as enjoyable as the cruise ride we had at Shanghai HuangPu Jiang.

This shows the laid-back lifestyle of of the Yangzhou people are willing to spend time together and bond together. In Singapore, this is quite hard to see since most teenagers would not bother or does not like to mix with people from the older generations.
